More stuff
Got a lead so that I can connect my CD player to the mixing desk and all seems to be okay. The output from the guitar amp seems a bit puny tho' - a lot quieter than the CD in - I'm thinking it's a dodgy lead.

Ebay - let's rock
Yahoo! Just won an auction on Ebay for a six channel Tascam mixer. A snip at £39 quid. This will allow me to practice the electric guitar whilst playing along to CD's etc without inflicting it on anybody else - nice one.

The band Elwood, the band
Myself, David and David's mate Dan have decided to try and start a band - woo hoo. I think we'll be aiming at the late 60's, early-mid 70's heavy rock end of the market. Whilst this isn't my spot on ideal stuff to be playing it is pretty close - still covers Hendrix, Cream, Zep etc - so it should be good for a laugh. At the moment we're trying to get a list of three or four songs together so that we can start practicing. I think the biggest hurdle is gonna be trying to get hold of a drummer but ...
