Forth and Clyde Canal
During the recent good weather we took a walk along the cleaned up Forth and Clyde Canal. It was the wrong time of day for decent pics i.e. almost "high noon" and being the fool that I am the ISO was set at 1600 - hence some of the pics are a bit grainy.
One of the few pics where the sky isn't completely blown out.

As you can see the sky is almost completely nuked. A graduated ND filter would have helped here.

Looking east along the canal.

There were a lot of people out fishing, indicating, I guess, the improvement in the natural environment.
|
Jackie posing at the side of the canal - yee haw!
|
Another indication of the improved water quality was the sighting of this Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea)
|
Another view looking east along the canal in the direction of Kilsyth.

A family of Mute Swans (Cygnus olor).
