Leuchars Airshow 2008
Jackie and I went up to RAF Leuchars (near St Andrews) for the yearly airshow.
When we arrived a Eurofighter Typhoon roared overhead, with its afterburners on and I thought to myself "this is gonna be great". Unfortunately the weather was so bad (raining) and got worse, that most of the planned displays were cancelled. Aircraft were reduced to doing fast runs up and down the runway so that people could at least see them moving - meh. It was a shame because I had been looking forward to it for a while.
It wasn't all bad tho, I mean it was interesting enough for a few hours to walk around, talking pictures and looking at the various stalls etc but being honest it was a bit disappointing. On the plus side tho, I managed to get a lining for my combat jacket for £3! This after having spent ages surfing various websites trying to find one :)
I would definitely go again but next time I would wait to see what the weather on the day was like rather than buying tickets in advance.
